The wife and I went to the theater last week to see 2012 the special effects were good but the plot was your same old end of the world doomsday scenario, all in all I thought it was rather hokey!

When I paid for the tickets I thought $6.00 a peice! wow this is really a reasonable price for a brand new movie on the big screen, it wasn’t until I got to the concession stand that the light bulb went off and I finally got it!

The theater draws you in with the cheap price of the ticket and they make a fortune on the back end with the price of the popcorn, soft drinks and candy.

So how can you use this in your marketing efforts? It’s simple really, you just offer something of value on the front end and make up for it on the back end. If you are building a mailing list, you need to offer the visitor something for free to get them to WANT to enter their email address so they can access this valuable information on the other side.
