Producer Marc Guggenheim revealed the news during the show’s Saturday night Comic-Con panel.

[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]eam Arrow took to the Comic-Con stage on Saturday to confirm a lot of things we already knew, or had guessed. Thea is Speedy, Diggle will get a superhero suit and Ollie will make his debut as the Green Arrow. We also knew that Neal McDonough (Justified, Suits) will play ‘big bad’ Damien Darhk, but we didn’t know who would be joining him in the new season.
Long-time DC villain Anarky will work alongside the former assassin and current H.I.V.E. leader. Anarky is primarily a Batman villain, but he faced off against the Green Arrow in the 2005 comic ‘Anarky in the USA’, written by James Peaty. A martial artist and master tactician, Anarky claims he wants to save the world, but his methods of doing so are dark and destructive. Introducing Anarky seems like a good opportunity for Ollie to gain a new perspective on right and wrong, just as he seems to be figuring it out.
Mr. Terrific, on the other hand, will work with Team Arrow, and especially Felicity. As his name suggests, Mr. Terrific is pretty much great at everything. There have been two Mr. Terrifics in DC comics, Terry Sloane and Michael Holt (no word yet no which will appear in the show), but they are both self-made millionaires with backgrounds in science, who happen to be Olympic-level athletes with knowledge of all kinds of martial arts. Not bad. Executive producer Greg Berlanti added that their version of Mr. Terrific also ‘happens to be gay’.
We haven’t heard much about how these characters will fit into the show or how long they will stick around, but at least we know a little bit more on what to expect from the upcoming season.
Arrow season 4 premieres in October on the CW.
