A comic book crossover including Batman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is expected to be released this November.

Some big news floated under the radar this weekend at Comic Con amongst the slew of other stories released. This past weekend at Comic Con, DC and IDW Publishing announced that they would be working together to produce a comic book that involved Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles working together.

In the upcoming comic book series, Krang, the Turtles’ enemy, is said to transport the the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Shredder into another dimension which ends up being Gotham. Krang does this in an effort to rid himself of the Turtles. Upon arriving to Gotham, the Turtles will eventually meet up with the masked vigilante, Batman, in order to get back home to safely.

The Batman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series will be a six-part monthly mini series for comic book readers. It will be written by James Tynion IV, a well-known Batman writer, and drawn by Freddie Williams II, who is known for drawing the Robin comics. It is expected that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle co-creator, Kevin Eastman, will also be helping produce the comic as well, along with some other to-be-announced artists.

Comic book crossovers tend to be very successful comics similar to the The Avengers and Justice League. Not only that, but crossovers like Avengers and Alien vs Predator have also become very successful films. It shall be interesting to see if this comic book crossover has any potential of hitting the big screen after its release in comic book stores. The comic is expected to come out in stores this November.
