With Bethesda’s E3 Showcase just under a month away (June 14th), the developer drops a very short in-game footage for DOOM.

[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]hen you think about it, ten seconds isn’t that long. But then again, Bethesda did release a ten second-long teaser for their highly anticipated game, DOOM and those ten seconds were long enough to leave me begging for more details The teaser only showed about three seconds of gameplay before confirming that on June 14th at 7 p.m. there would be more details available at Bethesda’s E3 showcase. Series creators Id Software is in the works to develop the new title, which was originally called DOOM 4 before being scrapped for just DOOM. You can watch the quick teaser for the game below.

If you have played the previous DOOM games, you can be sure that you’ll feel some nostalgia when playing the newest addition to the franchise. DOOM will supposedly go back to its roots in addition to adding some exciting new gameplay features. Just like the original DOOM games, players will have the ability to carry as many weapons as they wish and they will never be forced to reload the weapons they carry. Don’t let this give you the impression that beating the game will be an easy feat. DOOM will have fast-paced combat sequences which will force players to take on a wide variety of enemies all at once.

DOOM will once again take place on the landscape of Mars. While on the red planet, the diabolical forces from hell will be invading and its up to you to defend and survive. As mentioned earlier, DOOM will offer new and exciting gameplay features. Remember the fatality moves you could perform in Gears of War? In DOOM, the players will have the opportunity to choose different fatality moves on the enemies in the game, who will also have the option of performing different killing moves on the player as well. Nothing else is known about the game, but you can be sure that Bethesda’s E3 showcase will show more about this highly anticipated game come June 14th.

DOOM will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
