The popular game mode adds two classic icons.

[dropcap size=small]Z[/dropcap]ombies are literally the reason that some fans buy the Call of Duty games. Infinite Warfare will not be the exception. Set in the 1980’s Infinity Ward’s zombie tale tells the story of four unfortunate souls trapped in the movie of an over the hill film director who sells his soul to the devil to regain his fame. Pee Wee Herman actor Paul Reubens will voice the director, Willard Wyler, and pop culture icon David Hasselhoff will voice a DJ who is also trapped in the movie, however, these two will not be playable characters.

Fortunately, the voice talent behind the playable characters is similarly noteworthy. Saturday Night Live’s Sasheer Zamata & Jay Pharoah, The Mindy Project’s Ike Barinholtz, and Seth Green will voice the protagonists. Each will portray a classic archetype: The Valley Girl, The Rapper, The Jock, and The Nerd. They are all aspiring actors that become collateral in Willard Wyler’s deal with the devil. Thinking that they have been invited to a screening of one of Wyler’s horror classics, they are instead trapped within the film forced to face a horde of the undead.

An overview on the game’s official site states:

Zombies in Spaceland transports you back in time to a 1980s amusement park complete with wild attractions, an awesome arcade, and a funky, functioning rollercoaster. In this all-new zombies co-op experience, new gameplay bring brand-new team mechanics, the After Life Arcade, and Fate & Fortune Cards into the mix. And, of course, there’s a rad 80s soundtrack. Fan-favorite features return, including hidden Easter eggs, awesome power ups, crazy perks, and radical weapons.

Those who order a premium version of Infinite Warfare will also get Activision’s remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Pre-orders will also include Modern Warfare 2’s Terminal map.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be available November 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
