You heard it right! Here to uppercut you right in the nostalgia is a continuation of the original Digimon animated TV series that premiered in 1999. According to the trailer the story will pick up 15 years after the end of the original, with the characters now in high school.
This was all announced at the Digimon Adventure 15th Anniversary Event. At the event, a Blu-ray box containing the original 54 episodes of the series (the first copies of which will be shipping with a drama CD) was announced. It’s slated to be released on March 3, 2015. The Digimon the Movies Blu-ray box was also announced and will be shipping on January 9, 2015. At the event, the original cast made an appearance alongside Koji Wada, who performed the theme song “Butter-fly” live.

Digimon Adventures is produced by Toei Animation and will be released in the Spring of 2015.
