Disney is working on Star Wars theme park additions with some pretty cool add-ons and attractions.

With Disney’s acquisition of the Star Wars franchise, questions about potential Star Wars theme park(s) have began to arise in the Star Wars fan realm. Small Star Wars add-ons were present in the theme parks prior to the company’s purchase of the franchise, but after the release of Episode 7, more and more Star Wars attractions have started to pop-up. Additionally, Disney recently confirmed a full 14-acre Star Wars themed area within the Anaheim Disneyland theme park. A fun photo of the construction site can be viewed below.

Disneyland parks across the globe tend to separate regions of their parks with assigned themes creating fun and interactive atmospheres for the guests who visit the parks. Hearing the stories about a Star Wars themed area in the park is spectacular news for Star Wars fans with the expansion of the Star Wars franchise working in a positive direction with Disney. Along with what is sure to be a great set of rides and attractions at the themed Star Wars area, Disney is said to be working on interactive droids for the George Lucas inspired area(s). In addition to Disney’s talent to truly allow you to enter another world within the park, they are using ever-expanding technological avenues to add these interactive droids to the Star Wars themed area. Droids play a huge role in the Star Wars films, so it is quite fitting for the park to include them. Currently at the small Star Wars area in the Anaheim park, Disney already has one of these potential interactive droids hanging around. He goes by the name of Jake and he is capable of interacting with various guests while waiting in line around him.

Disney won’t be taking any shortcuts to add these potential attractions to the theme park, so Star Wars fans have a solid two years to wait until we can truly enter our own little Star Wars galaxy. More details are sure to come, but I just hope I get to galavant through Disneyland with BB-8 by my side when I finally get the chance to go to this Star Wars world.
