For those of who do not know, King Nereus is the king of the underwater kingdom of Xebel. He also claims Aquaman’s wife, Mera, as his own and wants to destroy Aquaman because of it. While this may sound like a villain role, James Wan has been vocal that Nereus will not be a villain in the movie.
Not quite villain, but thank you :) https://t.co/LtqpcSanFL

Wan also stated that the Nereus that is going to appear in the film will be a bit different from the one in the comics. So it will be interesting to see what changes will be made to the character and how Lundgren will bring King Nereus to life.
Aquaman is set to to be released in theaters on December 21, 2018 and will star Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
