[dropcap size=small]F[/dropcap]inal Fantasy VII is coming to Playstation 4, Sony and Square Enix announced yesterday from the Playstation Experience keynote. Before you get too excited, I have the displeasure of telling you it’s not coming as a remake- but as a port.
That’s right. The game will be a port from the PC version that came out in 2013, giving players a chance to once again repurchase the same game. Final Fantasy VII is considered one of the greatest games of all time, and players have been waiting patiently for an HD remake, so when producer Shinji Hashimoto took the stage it seemed like everybody’s dream was about to come true. Sorry guys, not this time. Check out out the announcement video below.
The game will be available via download Spring 2015.
