Ridley gets a light-hearted grilling from actor Josh Gad about The Last Jedi.
[dropcap size=small]D[/dropcap]o you know who’s great? Daisy Ridley. She absolutely killed it in The Force Awakens and carried the film like a true hero, and as evidenced by various posts on social media, she also has an excellent sense of humour.
Unless you’ve been lost in the deserts of Tatooine with no internet connection for the past couple of weeks, you’ll undoubtedly be aware of all the buzz surrounding the title reveal of Episode VIII – The Last Jedi.
Ridley gets it.
It stands to reason that fans want answers about the new title. Who’s it referring to? Is it one Jedi or is it plural? Why is the text red? Well, Ridley’s co-star on the remake of Murder on the Orient Express, Josh Gad, proved to be one such Star Wars fan when he took it upon himself to jokingly grill Ridley for answers on set – check out his video below:
As was to be expected, Ridley expertly dodges the questions like a pro. The only thing Gad – who played Olaf in Frozen, which is why Ridley jokes about dishing on Frozen 2 – got from the exchange is that Ridley also thinks the title sounds “ominous”. Shocking stuff.
We may not have learnt much about the new title, but part of the fun of Star Wars is going in not knowing what to expect, so we’re glad Ridley and co have to stay tightlipped about the films. It also means we get fun videos like the one above, and it really does make us miss Ridley’s Instagram page all the more since she understandably stepped away from the social media platform.
We’ll just have to patiently await the first trailer before the film’s release this December.
The Last Jedi is set to hit the big screens 15 December 2017.
