Flash v Supergirl: Dawn of Cross-Network Justice.

Batman and Superman won’t be the only DC superheroes crossing paths this March, as it was revealed today that The CW’s Flash will appear in an episode of the CBS series Supergirl.

The Flash himself, Grant Gustin, confirmed this news via his Instagram page.

“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl,” explained The Flash and Supergirl Executive Producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, in a press release from CBS. “We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out.”

Although this is clearly a special agreement allowing the Flash to appear on CBS, as his show is on The CW, these networks have been teasing the possibility of a crossover between these DC character since Supergirl’s inception.

Of course, the Flash is no stranger to crossover events. He was originally introduced on CW’s Arrow, before receiving his own show, and he has even shown up in the latest DC show, Legends of Tomorrow, which recently began its first season.

While we haven’t been playing too close of attention to Supergirl, this announcement has got us hyped for the Girl of Steel, as well as the possibility of a certain archer making his way to CBS.

The Flash/Supergirl crossover event will air Monday, March 28 at 8/7c on CBS.
