Hot or Not: TV Series Edition

Here’s the most up-to-date list of what TV shows you can expect to see back next season and which ones you’ll never get to watch again.

Though let’s face it, they’re probably getting cut because you never watched them in the first place.

[dropcap size=small]O[/dropcap]ne thing to know before going through this list is that it isn’t necessarily complete. With the major networks set to announce their new series and schedules during the week of May 11th at the upfronts in New York City, we are bound to get more renewal and cancellation news in the coming weeks.

That being said, here’s the list thus far:

CBS

HOT: 2 Broke Girls, The Big Bang Theory, Madam Secretary, Mom, Mike & Molly, NCIS: New Orleans, and Scorpion.

NOT: The Millers. — This show was not good, but it’s still sad whenever a Will Arnett show gets cancelled, that guy can’t catch a break. At least he’ll always have Arrested Development.

Waiting: 48 Hours, 60 Minutes, The Amazing Race, Battle Creek, Blue Bloods, Criminal Minds, CSI, CSI: Cyber, Elementary, The Good Wife, Hawaii Five-0,The McCarthys, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Odd Couple, Person of Interest, Stalker, Survivor, and Undercover Boss. — Basically every show that your grandparents have on in the background as they nap.

NBC

HOT: The Blacklist, Celebrity Apprentice, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Grimm, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

NOT: A to Z, Allegiance, and Bad Judge.

Waiting: A.D., About a Boy, American Odyssey, The Biggest Loser, Caught on Camera With Nick Cannon, Constantine (Marc, there’s still a chance!), Dateline, Marry Me, The Mysteries of Laura, The Night Shift, One Big Happy, The Slap, State of Affairs, Undateable, and The Voice.

The CW

HOT: The 100, Arrow, Beauty and the Beast, The Flash, Jane the Virgin, Reign, Supernatural, The Originals, and The Vampire Diaries.

NOT: So far nothing has been cancelled.

Waiting: Hart of Dixie, and iZombie. — Given the positive response from fans and critics it’s likely that iZombie will be returning. As for Hart of Dixie, we’ve never seen a single episode, have you? Yeah, we didn’t think so.

ABC

HOT: At this point ABC has yet to announce anything as far as renewals.

NOT: Manhattan Love Story, and Selfie. — For all of you Selfie fan, no need to worry, we just pitched ABC our idea for a new series called Duckface and they seemed really interested. Fingers crossed.

Waiting: Basically their entire lineup. — 20/20, America’s Funniest Home Videos, American Crime, Black-ish, Castle, Cristela, Forever, Fresh Off the Boat, Galavant, The Goldbergs, Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away With Murder, Last Man Standing, Marvel’s Agent Carter, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Middle, Modern Family, Motive, Nashville, Once Upon a Time, Repeat After Me, Resurrection, Revenge, Scandal, Secrets and Lies, Shark Tank, The Taste, and Wipeout. — Considering that no one would watch ABC if it weren’t for the new Marvel series and the Wednesday comedy lineup of The Middle, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, and Black-ish, they’re probably safe. As for Cristela or any of the others we’ve never watched, we can’t say the same. Alright, Shark Tank is pretty entertaining.

FOX

HOT: Bob’s Burgers, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Empire, Family Guy, Gotham, Hell’s Kitchen, The Last Man on Earth, Masterchef, Masterchef Junior, New Girl, The Simpsons, Sleepy Hollow, and World’s Funniest Fails. — We’re not too sure how that last one made the cut.

NOT: Gracepoint, and Red Band Society.

Waiting: American Idol, Backstrom, Bones, The Following, Hotel Hell, The Mindy Project, Mulaney, and Weird Loners.

+++++

With upfronts happening in a few weeks, we’ll likely get more accurate news around those series that are in “waiting” status. This is what we know until then.
