Get ready Hunters. The English dub of the Hunter × Hunter anime is set to premiere April 16 on Adult Swim’s Toonami.

Hunter × Hunter began as a manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. The series follows a boy named Gon, who follows the footsteps of his father to become a Hunter, a licensed explorer of uncharted land and unknown creatures. The series is immensely popular in Japan, with the manga still ongoing since 1998.
The series was first adapted into a 62-episode anime back in 1999, but this new dubbed version is the most recent series, which ran from 2011 to 2o14 in Japan. Currently, the newer anime is available to stream (without the English dub) on US Netflix.
VIZ Media is handling the licensing and dub.
We’re big fans of the sense of adventure and creativity found in this series, so we can’t wait to check out the dub.
