Tired of following the straight path on the road? Well Square Enix got you covered with an interesting update that was released ahead of the next DLC chapter involving Prompto. Not only does the update fix some bugs; but it also give players the ability to go off-road driving with a new customization feature for the Regalia.

The Type-D custom option turns the teams’ car into a monster truck. This feature will allow you to drive practically anywhere with your vehicle. To get this cool and nifty feature pay the lovely bombshell, Cindy, another visit at the Hammerhead service station. Another cool thing the update provides is the music from Episode Prompto to listen to on the car radio. Here is the list of the following update notes below:

  • Implementation of Regalia Type-D off-road customization option (available at Hammerhead)
  • Conclusion of survey regarding future updates
  • Addition of compatibility with Episode Prompto
  • Addition of pieces from Episode Prompto to music player tracklist
  • Various bug fixes

The new Episode Prompto does exactly as it sounds. This DLC package focuses on Prompto himself. This episode involves Prompto getting separated from his entourage and is alone in an arctic environment. The trailer shows some brand new gameplay mechanics that fits Prompto’s style of fighting; which is gunplay. I am actually excited to witness how the third person shooting and snowmobile segments works since I do have the game. For more on Episode Prompto feel free to check out the trailer of the new DLC below.
