Pokemon Fans worldwide have actively been involved in playing the mobile game, Pokemon Go. Players have been walking miles worldwide in order to catch em all and be the best in the world. Many have wondered how they would be able to get their hands on Legendary Pokemon from within the series like Zapdos, Moltres and Mewtwo. None of them were available when the game launched, and still have yet to make an appearance for players to have the chance to capture. That however, is going to change by the end of this summer. Niantic hinted at the 21st Webby awards that “This summer will be legendary.”

“I hope you are looking forward to this huge event this summer. Please look forward to it. Engineers are working hard now so that new functions can be implemented,” Kawashima said.

They also announced a series of updates that are set to occur along with the hinted arrival of legendary pokemon.

The new Pokemon Go features will include:

  • Raids
  • PvP modes
  • Player trading.

Originally all of these were rumors and fan speculations as to what can possibly be coming to the mobile game, and it looks like Niantic execs are finally going to put those rumors to rest and make them a reality. Currently there is no release date on any of the following updates, however fans are definitely more excited than ever for the new content waves soon to come.
