Negotiations are under way and Disney already has his role for the movie in mind!

[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]ill Smith has been a busy man these last couple years with the amount of movies that he has been in and Disney could potentially cast him for another one. Disney is reportedly interested in casting him in the live-action Dumbo movie.

If Smith is cast for the movie, he will play the father of the children who develop a friendship with Dumbo the elephant after seeing him at the circus. Tom Hanks is also in talks for a role in the movie, but as the main villain. But Hanks has also been offered a role in The Grey Hound, a World War II drama that he may take instead.

Tim Burton is set to direct the movie from the script written by Ehren Kruger. Kruger will also be producing the movie with Justin Springer (Tron: Legacy.)

Smith’s most recent works have been Collateral Beauty and Suicide Squad, which were both released last year. Smith also just finished up with production on a Netflix original movie: Bright, which is set to be released sometime this year.

Sources indicate that both movies are scheduled to shoot at the same time. So if Smith prefers one over the other, it will push back the release date of the other. So while this movie role would be very enticing for Smith, he is already working on his role for Bad Boys 3, which could complicate it’s release date.
