New Challengers Approaching! Super Smash Bros. Update Leaks Ryu + Roy

Could Ryu and Roy be coming to Smash? The latest Super Smash Bros. leak is pretty legitimate.

[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]akurai had planned a conference, scheduled for tomorrow, to discuss new Smash content, but a group of hackers got a little impatient. The latest game update contains data for new characters Ryu and Roy, alongside a whole mess of additional content. Capcom now has two representatives in the latest Super Smash Bros. It looks like they’re getting pretty chummy with Nintendo. See for yourself:

It’s nice to see new faces, especially the growing third-party support. We also haven’t seen Roy since Super Smash Bros. Melee, giving the Fire Emblem franchise a solid five-character representation. Ryu, as expected, will also be getting a new stage a la classic Street Fighter:

A few leaked additionals contain a Splatoon trophy and a couple new Mii outfits (Zero, MegaMan.EXE, Isabelle):

While none of this is confirmed, and Nintendo refuses to comment on the latest leak, we’ll be sure to find out tomorrow morning. What are your thoughts on bringing Ryu into Smash? Personally, it might be a bit awkward, adjusting to his button input, after many years playing Street Fighter games. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
