Honestly surprised Nintendo didn’t come up with this already! More info on Salandit here!

[dropcap size=small]P[/dropcap]okemon Sun and Moon have releeased a brand new Pokemon with a type-combo that we’ve never seen before: Salandit, the Fire/Poison type!

Salandit knows a move called Corrosion, which allows him to poison any Pokemon, including Poison and Steel types. Those Pokemon are mostly immune to such attacks. Salandit is also the first new Poison Pokemon and the first new fire Pokemon (other than Litten, the starter) in the Aloha region. Perhaps a Pokemon used by the evil teams in this game (which have yet to be announced.)

Salandit’s Pokedex description is this: “ Salandit emits toxic gas, together with flames, from the base of its tail. This poisonous gas has a sweet smell, and anyone who unknowingly breathes it in will become dizzy. Salandit is not a very powerful Pokémon, but its cunning nature allows it to battle fiercely by throwing its opponents off balance.”

“Salandit females not only release toxic gases, they can also emit pheromones that attract males of all species, including Pokémon and humans. Inhaling these pheromones may cause opponents to be controlled by Salandit’s will.”

One thing that’s interesting in the Salandit trailer above is the poison-projectile attack that was used. Could this be a new exclusive move for Salandit? Guess we won’t know until someone catches him, but this looks like a perfect Pokemon for Team Rocket to use (who have sadly been replaced with two different teams for every version.)

Pokemon Sun and Moon are scheduled to be released on November 18th in Japan and the USA, while Europe will have it on November 23rd!
