Here we go!

[dropcap size=small]L[/dropcap]ast week Nintendo made the surprising and exciting move to trademark the official name for its planned theme park. The theme park is supposed to be called Super Nintendo World and will no doubt host a wide variety of attractions that are all steeped in Nintendo’s history as an entertainment company. Interesting enough, the trademark listings revealed several details about the planned park and what will be sold there.

Of course, Super Nintendo World wouldn’t be Nintendo without a Mario Kart attraction and this was specifically outlined in the trademark details.

“…organization, management or arrangement of entertainment shows and events, namely, amusement park shows and special events at an amusement park; organization, management or arrangement of kart racing; organization, management or arrangement of motorcycle events and other events with vehicles; providing amusement facilities; providing amusement parks services” (emphasis ours).”

As for merchandise, Super Nintendo World has all bases covered there.

“Clothing, namely, coats, dresses, Halloween costumes, hoodies, jackets, pullovers, t-shirts, shirts, shorts, sleepwear, sweatshirts, tops, loungewear, underwear, infant wear, wrist bands, warm-up suits, vests; gloves as clothing; socks and stockings; neckties; headwear; scarves; mufflers; waistbands; belts for clothing; footwear; clothes for sports namely, athletic pants, athletic shorts, athletic shirts, athletic tops, swimwear; masquerade costumes…”

This just might be the greatest theme park of all time. Too bad it’ll be built in Japan.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
