New photos from the set of ‘Pacific Rim: Maelstrom’ have been released

The new photos for Pacific Rim: Maelstrom gives off the impression of a post-apocalyptic world.

[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]fter many delays over several years Pacific Rim: Maelstrom is finally in full production and a few photos from the set have been released thanks to The Daily Telegraph. The set photos give us a small but interesting glimpse into the world of Pacific Rim: Maelstrom leaving us with more questions than answers.

Pacific Rim: Maelstrom will take place after the events which transpired in Pacific Rim with Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor John Boyega portraying the role of Stacker Pentecost’s (Idris Elba) son. Joining John Boyega are actors Scott Eastwood, Jing Tian, Levi Meaden, and Cailee Spaeny. Pacific Rim: Maelstrom will be directed by Steven S. DeKnight who directed Marvel’s first season of Daredevil which was streamed on Netflix and the film will be released in theaters on February 23, 2018.
