From November 20 through November 26, Pokémon Go tasked trainers with catching a crazy amount of Pokémon through the Global Capture Challenge, an event with a very tantalizing grand prize. If trainers could catch three billion Pokémon within that timespan, the region exclusive Pokémon Farfetch’d would become available worldwide for 48 hours.

This wily Wild Duck Pokémon is usually one of a handful of region exclusive Pocket Monsters

Somehow, someway, trainers across the globe rallied together and threw literally billions of Poké Balls at Pidgeys and Sentrets, and now, Farfetch’d are everywhere until 7:00 PM CST on 11/27.

This wily Wild Duck Pokémon is usually one of a handful of region exclusive Pocket Monsters, and has only been found in Asia, particularly in Japan and South Korea. Trainers from Asia aren’t left out however, as Kangaskhan, who is exclusive to Australia, is now available to catch in the East Asia region for the same duration as Farfetch’d.

In addition to Farfetch’d, trainers have also unlocked a temporary 2X boost in XP, stardust, and lures that last six hours. Make the most of this bonus before it’s gone!

While three billion seems like a unfathomable amont of Pokémon, especially when you consider Go’s wain in popularity since launch, trainers have proved that the game is still going strong, with a momentum that will hopefully endure as gen three Pokémon gradually appear starting this December.

Now go get Farfetch’d!
