With beautiful screenshots like these, waiting for RDR2 to be released is definitely worth it.

[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]orry Red Dead Redemption fans but it appears that you’re going to have to wait longer than expected for the release of Red Dead Redemption 2. While Spring of 2018 isn’t that far away, it is sad news and it seems that delays are starting to be the norm when it comes to releasing new games that don’t include Call of Duty in the title. Despite this unfortunate news fans overall have been quite happy with the screenshots that Rockstar has released, you can check them out below.

Rockstar released a press statement commenting on the delay by acknowledging that while they are sad about the news, they want to ensure Red Dead Redemption 2 goes above and beyond everyone’s expectations.

“This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans. We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.”

Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Spring of 2018.
