Last week Friday on Meet the Movie Press, Forbes’ Simon Thompson was congratulating David Leitch (director for John Wick: Chapter 2) on landing the role of director for Deadpool 2 when he tried to trick David Leitch into confirming that Pierce Brosnan had accepted the role of Cable. Saying, ‘Congratulations on casting Pierce Brosnan,’ David Leitch responded with ‘We have not yet.’
Then Jeff Sneider from Mashable added more fuel to the rumor by saying, “Variety’s Justin Kroll can’t say anything, but, yeah, I’ve heard it’s going to him.” This doesn’t completely confirm that Pierce Brosnan has landed the role but according to Simon Thompson we will only learn the truth from Ryan Reynold’s himself so be sure to keep an eye on the actor’s Twitter account!
