Robin in ‘Batman v Superman’ Confirmed to be Jason Todd

It is rumored that the Red Hood, aka resurrected Jason Todd, could appear in the solo Batman film.

[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]f you weren’t paying close attention to Bruce Wayne’s Batcave in Batman v Superman then you probably missed out on a short moment where Bruce Wayne takes a few short seconds to regard a suit that says, “Hahaha joke’s on you Batman” spray painted on it. At first, it looks like another Batman suit but thanks to a new video that was released by Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood it has been confirmed that the suit is, in fact, Robin’s.

In the video a tour guide who just goes by the name of John explains to the crowd following him that the suit belongs to Jason Todd, saying:

“This was one of the big things from Batman v Superman, right across this way. The Jason Todd Robin suit. Spray painted on the front ‘Ha ha. The joke’s on you Batman’. Those of you that know the storyline, know what happened to this Robin”

For those of you who don’t know what happened to Robin, the Joker killed Robin (Jason Todd) and eventually Jason Todd is resurrected by Superboy-Prime altering reality. The death of Jason Todd continues to haunt Batman for many years and it takes a while for Batman to take in a new Robin. Batman considers the death of Jason Todd his greatest failure because he did not properly train Jason in his role as Robin, and he failed to protect him from the Joker. Jason Todd’s death could possibly explain why Ben Affleck’s Batman is so dark, brooding, and unlike the Batman in the comics, he actually kills his enemies.

Will Jason Todd/the Red Hood actually appear in Ben Affleck’s solo Batman film? It is possible considering the suit in Bruce Wayne’s cave belonged to Jason Todd and it would be a great way to explain what Batman was up to before the events that took place in Batman v Superman.
