It’s what we’ve wanted all along.

[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]his November will make 5 years since the release of one of the most popular and beloved games of all time, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Upon it’s release, we were able to truly get lost in a world full of adventure, action, lore, and so much more. For PC users, the Steam Workshop/NexusMods allowed the use of mods on the game, adding countless more hours of game time.

From ridiculous armor sets, to wacky magic spells, to fart-shouting, and even re-skinning the dragons to look like Macho Man Randy Savage, the possibilities were endless! Let’s also not forget those who created enhanced lighting mods, dynamic depth of field mods, and higher-resolution textures to everything in-game making it much more aesthetically pleasing than it’s vanilla build. But sadly, those who owned the game on console were only able to play it in its original state; that is until Bethesda, at their E3 panel earlier, announced a fully remastered version of the game, complete with mod integration.

Bethesda knows what their fans want. Check out the full trailer below to see announcements about Fallout 4 and Fallout Shelter as well, or you can skip ahead to 3:18.

The studio also announced on their twitter, that if you already own a copy of Skyrim: Legendary Edition, or the base game and all of the DLC, then you will be eligible for a free upgrade to Skyrim Special Edition.

Skyrim Special Edition will be released on October 28th, 2016.
