Stephen Amell Says He Is Done With The Arrow Suit

Season 3 of Arrow just wrapped up this past week and with star Stephen Amell saying he is done with the Arrow suit, what does this mean for the next season?

[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]rrow has just finished its third season, and it looks like Oliver Queen is ready to hang-up the Arrow persona and drive off into the sunset, literally. We know Stephen Amell is going to pick up the bow and arrows again because he has confirmed a season 4, but what will he be wearing, and will this next season have a lighter tone with Oliver’s new found happiness?

*Spoiler*

In season 3, Oliver was revealed to be the Arrow, but even though Roy took the fall for him, Oliver could not go on crime-fighting under that persona anymore. With Ra’s al Ghul and the League of Assassins framing him as a killer, the green hood might not be the best garment to be wearing.

Stephen Amell talked a little bit about season 4 with E! and though he didn’t have much to say, he did says this:

“Arrow is done. No more Arrow suit. I’ve worn it for the last time.“

The costume is the only thing that connected the T.V. show with its comic book inspiration, Green Arrow. The man Amell portrays in the show is different from the Oliver Queen of the comics, with Amell’s Oliver being more stubborn and depressing. Maybe this might be the season when Oliver fully becomes the Green Arrow, but to say he will never wear the green hood again is outrageous.

Now that Oliver’s sister, Thea, has recently taken up the role of Speedy, there is no doubt in my mind that Oliver will pick up the bow and be wearing something green in this upcoming season.

Arrow season 4 will be out this fall on CBS.
