Batman v Superman finally answers the question what would happen if Batman and Superman were both f*cking assholes”.

[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]hen it comes to reviewing superhero films it can be safely said that Kevin Smith is the perfect man for the job, especially when it comes to reviewing DC films. After all, the man named his daughter Harley Quinn Smith so you know the guy knows his stuff when it comes to Batman and Superman. In Kevin Smith’s latest podcast Hollywood Babble-On he gives his honest opinion of the film with co-host Ralph Garman (who has one of the largest collections of Batman memorabilia on the planet), and both of their opinions seem to fit what everyone else thought about the film, listen to the snippet from their podcast below.

Kevin Smith’s review of Batman v Superman gives credit where it is due, like Ben Affleck’s superb portrayal of an angry, old Batman and Wonder Woman’s appearance in the film, while also pointing out the film’s faults such as Henry Cavill’s Superman hollowed character.

Remember before when we were talking about Flash, and that it has heart, humor, and spectacle. The movie I felt like didn’t really have a heart. It was certainly f****** humorless, there was nothing funny going on in that world whatsoever, but it had lots of spectacle. Like you can’t take that away from Snyder. Boy, he knows how to like compose a frame and how to set up a shot. Beautiful visual stylist but you need more than just the pictures, you need like characterization and these characters seemed off character, particularly Superman.”

Even though the majority of critics agree that Batman v Superman was a difficult film to sit through with numerous problems regarding plot points, characters and dialogue the film is still performing fairly well at the box office here and overseas. Keeping that in mind, you can be sure that there will be more DC films to come in the future. Let’s just hope that Zack Snyder won’t be directing every single one.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
