A whole host of familiar DC faces are set to join Rip Hunter and Co in the new season, which promises to leave no question unanswered.

[dropcap size=small]D[/dropcap]C’s Legends of Tomorrow is returning for its second season this month, and boy does it look like it’s set to be quite the ride.

A new teaser for the show was unveiled at Wondercon during a panel with some of the cast, and executive producer, Marc Guggenheim. Rather excitingly, the teaser revealed some new DC faces that will be joining the show’s regulars.

The footage reveals the appearance of a whole host of new characters, such as scarred bounty hunter, Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech), leader of the League of Assassins, Nyssa a’Ghul, Arrow’s Felicity Smoak, and show regular Sara Lance’s father, Quentin Lance. Jewel Staite even popped up as the new tech genius character, Rachel Turner.

We also got a glimpse of super-villain Ra’s al Ghul, and his daughter, a young Talia al Ghul, who are both set to appear in a past setting.

The off-shoot series spawns from the same universe as DC’s other series Arrow and The Flash. Several of the main characters in the show first appeared in either series, and we’ve already seen a cameo from Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) from the Arrow series too, in true cross-over style.

The show follows time-traveler Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), who travels back in time to form a team of superheros and villains, all in a bid to stop immortal super-villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) from destroying the world and time itself. No small task.

Hunter is joined by assassin and daughter of Black Canary, Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz), Brandon Routh’s businessman-turned-vigilante, Ray Palmer/The Atom, Physicist Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Jax/Firestorm (Franz Drameh), and Kendra/Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee).

During the panel, executive producer Guggenheim said that by this end of this new season, we’ll get a lot of loose ends all wrapped up:

At the end of this season, you will get a definitive end of this chapter. You’ll get an answer about whether or not the team succeeds to stop Vandal Savage. You’ll get a resolution of the love triangle. You’ll get to know more about what the Time Masters are up to. I don’t think there are too many unanswered questions at the end of this season.

Exciting stuff. You can’t help but be intrigued, can you?

It’s always fun to see the addition of more of DC’s memorable faces, and we can’t wait to find out what parts they’ll have to play!

You can catch the new season of Legends of Tomorrow on The CW, March 31.
