The Brothers Nolan Part with DC

In an recent interview, Jonathan Nolan stated that neither he nor his brother, Christopher Nolan, will be working on any of the DC cinematic projects coming down the pipe. While they were primarily responsible for the unprecedented success of The Dark Knight Trilogy, with Christopher also writing and producing for Zack Snyder and David Goyer’s Man of Steel, they will be parting ways with DC to pursue other projects on their own, the next of which is the much anticipated Interstellar.

With this quote:

“I love those guys and my brother was involved in ‘Man of Steel‘ with Zack [Snyder] and David [Goyer]…I kind of feel like that chapter for us is closed.”

Jonathan Nolan made it exceedingly clear that while they’ll not be working on any DC projects, they by no means left on bad terms. Jonathan also suggested that this is not a permanent separation in either of their minds, but that for the near future, the Nolans and DC will be working separately. What do you think about this amicable separation? Can DC continue to put out the same quality of content without the steady hands and minds of the Nolan brothers? Let us know in the comments below!

  1. Couldnt expect them to be around forever. They can obviously see the train-wreck coming that DC has going at full-speed.

These movies will make money, they will be entertaining, but they wont be good. Too much going on too soon in a franchise that could be great, but will be destroyed by executives who are far too worried about keeping up with Marvel and the MCU.
