The situation revolving around The Batman films continues to worse.

The situation involving The Batman films looks to be increasingly dire. We already reported that the script for the film was going to be completely rewritten from the ground up, causing the film to be delayed even further than originally planned. Taking this into consideration it seems this may be the reason why Joe Manganiello is unsure about his role as Deathstroke in the film.

Joe Manganiello was promoting his film Smurfs: The Lost Village during an interview with Pittsburgh Live Today when he was asked if he would be playing the role of Deathstroke in The Batman. Manganiello sadly replied with, “Umm, maybe. We’ll see.” This gives off the unfortunate impression that the idea of pitting Deathstroke against Batman could have been dropped, or at least is being considered. After all, Matt Reeves has been named the director of the project and it is possible that he has a different idea for the solo Batman film.
