This Could be Your First Look at Shocker in Spider-Man Homecoming

You could call this a shocking possible discovery.

[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]e still have quite a while (303 days to be exact, not that I’m counting) until your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man swings into theaters, but that doesn’t mean we don’t any news for you. For some time, it was believed that the Vulture and the Green Goblin were the only villains that Spider-Man would battle in the Big Apple. However, some new photos have recently surfaced on Reddit showing off one of Spider-Man’s potential villains that he may be pitted against in Spider-Man Homecoming. Check them out below!

The possible villain shown in the photos above is believed to be Herman Schultz aka Shocker. Herman, just like Peter, was a brilliant young man who was very talented and spent much of his time inventing and engineering anything that he imagined. Unlike Peter, Herman dropped out of high school and instead of using his talents to help others he became a burglar who raided bank vaults around New York City using his special gauntlets called “vibro-smashers”.

With two classic villains already in Spider-Man Homecoming, it is interesting to see another villain being added to the list. Whether or not Shocker will actually appear in the film remains to be seen and with the plot for Spider-Man Homecoming being closely guarded no one is sure where Shocker fits into Peter Parker’s story. He certainly doesn’t appear in the comics until The Amazing Spider-Man #46, but it is possible that Marvel and Sony could be introducing Shocker for future films.

Any guesses why Shocker could be in Spider-Man Homecoming? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter!

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
