This Week at the Trailer Park

This week we have a fish looking for her home, the return of a franchise, and some angry birds.

Finding Dory

This right here is the movie event people have been waiting for for 13 long years. Finding Dory picks up 6 months after Finding Nemo ended. Dory suddenly recalls memories from her childhood and something about “the jewel of Monterey, California” and sets out on an adventure with Marlin and Nemo. Dory arrives at the Monterey Marine Life Institute, where she meets Bailey, a white beluga whale; Destiny, a whale shark who happens to be Dory’s adopted sister; and Hank the octopus, who becomes her new guide in finding her parents.

Finding Dory stars Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Hayden Rolence, Diane Keaton, and Eugene Levy and swims into theaters June 17th.

Ghostbusters

There is a new quartet of Ghostbusters that you now have the ability to call.

The followup to the Ghostbusters franchise centers around a new cast of heroes: Abby Yates, a published author on the paranormal, Erin Gilbert, a professor at Columbia University, who co-authored the book with Yates, Jillian Holtzmann, a nuclear engineer, and Patty Tolan, an NYC subway worker. Though they are an unlikely bunch to save the world, it’s up to them to stop the new paranormal threat plaguing New York.

Ghostbusters stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Charles Dance, Michael K. Williams, Neil Casey, Elizabeth Perkins, Andy García, and Chris Hemsworth and hits theaters July 15th.

The Angry Birds Movie

Personally, I am not sure how a hit mobile game could be turned into a feature film but for what it is, The Angry Birds Movie looks pretty good. The film follows Red, a bird who is an outcast on the island of the other flightless birds. When the pigs come one day extending their hand in friendship, he is the only one to be skeptical about it. His skepticism ends up being true when the pigs steal all the bird’s eggs. It’s up to Red to help the other birds and get their eggs back.

The Angry Birds Movie stars Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, and Peter Dinklage and launches into theaters this May.
