If you weren’t hyped for the Power Rangers reboot before this photo should do the trick.
When the very first photo for the upcoming Power Rangers film was released the feedback for the photo was filled with mixed reviews. Obviously trying to give the Power Rangers’ suits a more technologically advanced and suave look, Lionsgate tried their best to impress. Of course, this didn’t sit well with some fans of the original 1990s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers who were hoping the movie would stay true to the original series. However, now that a new photo has been released showing off the ordinary-to-extraordinary teenagers unmasked in their suits maybe some fans will change their mind.
When the first photo was released, it looked as if the Power Rangers’ suits were mostly CGI and not an actual suit which, understandably, upset many fans. Now that the photo above was released it looks like the Power Rangers’ suit may not be made not be entirely from CGI, although with how advanced technology is today it’s pretty hard to tell. Here’s to hoping that the suits aren’t completely CGI and were actually made to fit the actors.
Power Rangers starring Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, RJ Cyler as the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, Becky G as the Yellow Ranger, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa and Bryan Cranston as Zordon will hit theaters March 24th, 2017.
