[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he DC Cinematic Universe is about to burst at the seams.

During Wednesday’s shareholder meeting, Warner Bros. revealed a massive slate of superhero films to be released through the year 2020.

In one fell swoop, a whopping 10 movies based on DC comics were revealed. Your move, Marvel.

Starting in 2016 with the anticipated blockbuster Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the next planned release will be Suicide Squad (also known as Task Force X), a gritty story featuring a team of super-villains who take on jobs for the U.S. government.

In 2017, Gal Gadot will whip herself back into shape (see what we did there?) to return to the role once more as Wonder Woman (who will debut in Batman v Superman) in her stand-alone film, followed by Justice League: Part One with Zack Snyder directing.

I’ll give you a second to pick your jaw up off the floor.

In 2018, we’ll see the release of The Flash, with Ezra Miller (The Perks of Being A Wallflower) cast as the titular hero. Aquaman soon follows with Game of Thrones’ Jason Momoa playing the lead role as the king of Atlantis.

Jason Momoa will star in Aquaman.
Imagine this guy in orange spandex. Then imagine him killing you. That’s the Aquaman we want to see.

Shazam is due out in 2019 with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson playing the part of Black Adam. Then we see the return of the Justice League for Justice League: Part Two, which will also bring back Zack Snyder in the director’s chair.

In 2020, we’ll get a stand-alone Cyborg film with theater actor Ray Fisher starring. Rounding things out is a new Green Lantern reboot also in 2020, just 9 years after Ryan Reynolds wore the ring.

So there you have it! In the back-and-forth battle for box-office superiority between DC and Marvel, DC just landed a haymaker with this bombshell of an announcement.

Which films are you most excited to see?
