Everyone loves them some Yoda!

[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he new Star Wars trilogy is off to a great start with The Force Awakens having been a major box office success and The Last Jedi is considered a must-see movie when it is released in theaters this December. There have been some classic characters that have made returns for the new trilogy and there might be one more on the horizon.

In a recent interview Frank Oz, the voice of Yoda, did not give a definitive answer to if we were going to see the famed Jedi in the new trilogy.

I feel like I’m a prisoner at war here, and I can only give you my name, rank and serial number. To be true to the people who asked me, and they are kind of my family, I have to say I’ve been asked not to talk about it. I love Yoda. I would be happy to talk to you about it at the time they let me.

This is quite an interesting answer. While he does not deny the possibility, he also does not confirm that Yoda will be in the films. The fact that he was asked not to talk about it does seem to hint that Yoda has a future in the franchise.

Yoda had originally been rumored to appear in The Last Jedi so this also adds to the intrigue of his answer. Will Yoda appear in The Last Jedi or are we all just being played? We will just have to wait and see!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 15, 2017.
